Privacy Policy
Stringry is an iPhone app made by StayLoyal Software Inc. (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to information when you use Stringry and this website.
The short version
- Your pages and prints stay on your iPhone. Stringry has no accounts, and we don’t receive your artwork or photos.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show ads, Google receives some device information. Ads are personalized only if you allow it.
- Pro and Ultimate remove ads.
- Apple handles purchases. We never see your payment details.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
What stays on your iPhone
Stringry saves your pages, prints, settings, and progress (for example, which patterns you’ve tried) in the app’s storage on your iPhone. We don’t operate servers that receive this data.
Deleting Stringry deletes this data from your iPhone. Copies inside your iPhone’s own iCloud or computer backups follow your backup settings.
Photos
- Photo pages. When you choose a photo for a photo page, iOS gives Stringry only the photo you pick. Stringry can’t see the rest of your library, and the photo stays on your iPhone.
- Saving prints. If you save a print to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add to your library. Stringry adds only the prints you choose to save and doesn’t read your library.
Sharing
When you share a print, it goes only to the app or person you choose through the iOS share sheet. What happens to it next is covered by that app’s own privacy policy.
Purchases
Stringry Pro and Stringry Ultimate are one-time purchases made through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we don’t receive your payment details or your Apple Account information. Stringry checks with the App Store which purchases you own so it can unlock them. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Ads in the free version
The free version of Stringry shows ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To deliver ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect and send to Google:
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when iOS asks;
- your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location;
- device and app information, such as device model, iOS version, language, and app version;
- ad interactions, such as which ads were shown and tapped;
- diagnostic information, such as ad performance and crash data.
Google uses this information to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, only if you allow it, personalize ads. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
We ask Google to show only ads suitable for a general audience. We don’t receive information from Google that identifies you.
Your ad choices
- Tracking. iOS asks whether Stringry may track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, Google doesn’t receive your advertising identifier, and ads are less tailored to you. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Europe, the UK, and Switzerland. Before showing ads, Stringry asks for your consent using Google’s consent message. You can review or change your choice at any time in Stringry’s Settings.
- No ads. Buying Pro or Ultimate turns ads off, and Stringry stops requesting them.
Children
Stringry is made for a general audience. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and help you, and we keep it only as long as needed for that. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
This website
stringry.stayloyal.app uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to how it’s used. Most of your Stringry data is already in your control on your iPhone: you can delete pages or the app at any time. For information Google collects to show ads, use the choices above and Google’s privacy controls. For anything we hold, such as support emails, contact us.
We don’t sell personal information. In some US states, personalized ads can count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”. You can opt out by choosing “Ask App Not to Track” for Stringry, or by buying Pro or Ultimate to turn ads off.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and its effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll also mention it in the app’s release notes.
